Doug Hutchings, CIC

Doug Hutchings, CIC, is the owner/president of Hutchings Insurance Agency, a full-service insurance firm located in Middletown, NY, operating since 1968.

Doug oversees the overall operation of the agency with a concentration in commercial lines production and service. He has been active in the insurance business since 1974. Doug is a 1979 graduate of SUNY Empire State College with a degree in Business and English. He received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2008.

Doug is currently serving as director of the Orange County Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers. He has served on the Water Safety Board of the Middletown Chapter of the American Red Cross. He is also a past recipient of the Middletown YMCA's Service to Youth Award. In addition, Doug has been active in the Outreach to Seniors program at his church in Otisville.

Gregory M. Hogan, CIC, CLU, RHU

Greg Hogan, CIC, CLU, RHU, is a licensed Property, Casualty, Life, Health and Disability Broker in NY State. Greg did not initially plan to have a career in insurance sales and consultation, but since 1990 he has made serving clients his life's work. He began his insurance career working for a large national insurance company where he gained seven years experience as an agent writing life and health insurance. In 1997 Greg joined the Hutchings Agency as a business insurance producer. He quickly learned that he enjoyed working with business owners and finding solutions to their insurance problems.

Greg's desire to better serve his clients is demonstrated by his commitment to advancing his knowledge while attaining and maintaining specialized insurance designations. The first of these, obtained in 2000, was Chartered Life Underwriter, CLU®, the industry's most respected designation for life insurance expertise. In 2007, he obtained the status of Registered Health Underwriter, RHU®, a well-regarded health insurance specialty designation. In 2008, Greg finished a yearlong pursuit to become a Certified Insurance Counselor, CIC, a designation that demonstrates expertise in business insurance and agency operations. To maintain these designations requires 20 hours of continuing education each year. This continuing education allows him to stay abreast of new trends and developments in the constantly-changing insurance industry and to bring new ideas and concepts back to his clients. "I never fail to learn a few new nuggets of information that my clients find invaluable", says Greg about these CE classes.

Ron Frank

Ron Frank is a lifetime resident of Middletown, NY. He has been a licensed agent in all forms of insurance since 1969. He graduated from Aetna & Travelers Advanced Commercial lines school. He was associated with several major insurance carriers in various management positions prior to forming his own agency.

In 1983, Ron founded and served as President of Smith & Frank Insurance Agency, which was purchased by Hutchings Insurance Agency in 1996. He specializes in Commercial, Property Casualty, Life & Long Term Care Insurance. In addition to these professional achievements, Ron is very involved in the community and enjoys helping people. He is a lifetime member and has served proudly with the Middletown Fire Department for the past 40 years.

Ron has also served with the Mechanicstown Fire Department for 12 years as a fireman and 2nd Assistant Chief. He is currently a member of the Elks Lodge 1097. Ron is also a past board member of South East Towers of Middletown. He has also served as Chairman of the Health and Safety Committee of Hemlock Farms Community Association in Hawley, PA.

Krista Hutchings

Krista Hutchings, MBA, joined Hutchings Insurance in August, 2009. She attended St. Bonaventure University where she received a B.A. in English and an M.B.A. in Business Administration.

Krista brings prior experience as a Business Analyst at Urbitran/AECOM. As a Business Analyst she performed market research on competitors, innovative financing techniques, potential new markets to enter, and industry trends. In addition, Krista worked on the business plan, business model, and 5 year strategy for UA Consult, Urbitran's consulting subsidiary. A major project that Krista worked on while at Urbitran was the Comprehensive Street Management Plan, a 5 million dollar Management Consulting Project for NYC EDC/ NYC DOT.

Prior to this, Krista worked as a Research Analyst for Mergermarket, an online publication owned by the Financial Times Group. At Mergermarket she researched liquidity events (primarily mergers and acquisitions), company ownership structures, and individuals benefitting from these deals.

Krista received her Property and Casualty Broker's License in July, 2009. At Hutchings Insurance Krista is responsible for various marketing efforts, assisting in developing a business strategy, and general business development. She will also be involved in new business transaction, and is currently studying to get her CISR designation. Krista is excited about her career in the insurance industry

Rosemarie Jaccarino

Rosemarie first started working with the Hutchings Agency in 1988. She is a licensed New York State Insurance Broker since 1995. She is a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative with the agency.

Helen Gihr

Helen started working in the insurance field in 1968. She has been a licensed New York State Insurance Broker for 30 years. She is a Customer Service Representative with our Agency in the Commercial Lines Department.

Dee Zwart

Dee first started working in the insurance field in 1984. She is a Licensed New York State Insurance Broker since 1985. She has been with the Hutchings Agency since 1992 as a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative.

Joanne Marino

Joanne has been working in the insurance industry for 25 years and has been a licensed NY Insurance Broker since 1995. Joanne joined the Hutchings Agency in 2005 is presently a commercial lines customer service representative.
